We all know that sometimes we read and sometimes we forget. We have bust lives and sometimes it gets away from us. You can be reading several at a time, then something comes up and you focus on one, or you move on to something else.
I have been both. I have my regular fantast, horror and psychological thrillers that I read and then I have my esoteric books that I read. Right now I have a group of books that I will be diving into simultaneously. Some are for ritual purposes and the others are for personal growth and my own pathworking.
The first book I am reading is: Biogeometry Signatures Harmonizing the Body’s Subtle Energy Exchange with the Environment by Ibrahim Karim, PhD. Dr. Sc. This book was recommended to me when i was at the 6th Black Adept Conference a few weeks ago. This book aligns with the deep inner workings I am hitting and working to change with my Daemon working. This is helping me structure my areas better and add more information to this work so when I make my petition to the universe, I know exactly what I am asking for. It is a really good book and I will be getting the Biogeometry book as well for more in-depth knowledge.
The second book I am reading is: The Satanic Manual of the Abysmal Serpent by Augustine Moriar. This book came out on the 30th of October, and it is written by the High Priest of the order. I have met Augustine as he is an initiate of the Brotherhood. He has a very good outlook on his brand of Satanism that I see as extreme deep shadow work. I am a new initiate of this order and I am excited to read this book. I am only 26 pages in, but I am fucking impressed. This is another book that I think is needed on our paths, because it focuses on growth, doing the work and making shit happen. We need more authors, that practice, that spell it out, make it easy to understand certain contexts. I hate reading a book and the author is so excited that he knows large words, that that is all he puts in the text. It is dumb. Not with this book. This book is a breath of fresh air.
Thee third books I am reading, is a set of books for my African Spirituality studies. I am working with a teacher to finally delve into the African current correctly. The Vodou Gnostic Workbook by Michael Bertiaux, The Voodoo Hoodoo Spellbook by Denise Alvarado, Voodoo and African Traditional Religion by Lilith Dorsey. I have several other Voodoo/Vodoun books that I will be using as supplements as well.
The fourth books is another set which is the Necronomicon books. The Necronomicon Original by Simon, The Gates of the Necronomicon by Simon, The Dead Names by Simon, The Necronomicon Spellbook and The Necronomicon Gnosis by Asenath Mason. Yes I am going back into that mythos. Yes I am more prepared and wiser and know exactly how to utilize my gifts.
The next book I am starting today and it is: Entering Hekate’s Cave The Journey Through Darkness to Wholeness by Cyndi Brannen, and Entering Hekate’s Garden The Magick, Medicine & Mystery of Plant Spirit Witchcraft by the same author. As Hekate’s Day (Nov 16th) approaches I have something planned for her. As she is a part of my largest working, these will help me immerse myself in her even more.
So, what are you reading?
