The post couple of days I have gotten out of the house and went down to the water front. I got my camera and went to work snapping pictures of the board, ferrys, and military watercraft there.
It was beautiful. To see the waves breaking, feel the breeze of the water, smell the salt in the air. Just very peaceful.
Now Penn’s Landing is always crossed with concerts and free movies going on during the summer, so I was lucky I caught them on a down day. A few feet from the landing was where Tunn’ s Tavern did. For those of you who don’t know it was the birth place of the Marine Corp. I know it, because my husband is a Marine (well he’s out now, but once a Marine always a Marine). It’s upsetting because they tie it down and left a plaque, and erected a park for Irish immigrants. Master of fact all the places where the military one was, was torn down to make way for Irish. Making me wonder what the hell Philly was really going back there and to find more of their history.
There is also a statue of a man who helped establish the banking world. I’m like great like that is something to be proud of. Money is the down fall of humanity, and the more we “need” it, the more we lose ourselves. Money is the great evil of all. Without you can’t afford good, but even the seeds to grow out the soil to plant it in. With money you still aren’t happy but always want more, more, more. With enough money you can be satisfied, but if there even such a world that exists like that.
Walking around the historic district in Philly, I just got really upset. The founding fathers of the this country were basically against the country is now. Yet out so call leaders always want to point out that this is what the country is supposed to be. Yeah right.
Pretty sure Ben would be pissed, seeing what the hell this country has shown to itself. Our more importantly what we have allowed to happened.
If we don’t start fighting for our rights, we will ALL be in slavery. No race excluded.
