I heard about Sorceress Cagliastro from a podcast that you can listen to right here, Episode 196: Sorceress Cagliastro Discusses Blood Sorcery. It is 54 minutes long and it is a very good interview. That is why I grabbed the book and decided to read it. I feel bad because I had this book for years and never read it until a couple of weeks ago.

There are 43 sections in this book, with 170 pages. It gives you more than enough opportunity to pace yourself and read to certain points without you getting lost or forgetting your place. That I like.

In “The Body Divided: Self Vivisection”, pg 49, I agree with her assessment in how she heals people. She calls them a “realignment, removing facades of humble posturing and humility, and creating a state of desire for more living.” It actually makes sense. When we are hurt we want to be healed so we can get back to our normal state. But when we are fine, healthy as much as can be depending on our situation, what are we healing? Nothing. Just wasting energy, but if you focus on tweaking what is already there for an improve state, not redoing the whole thing, than I am all for it. Hell, tomato, tomat-o. Whatever you want to call it, I agree with her and I am all for it.

What grabbed my attention was her “Thirty Sorcery Events and How to Read The”, pg 55. Here she gives you pointers on how to enhance your abilities, raise passion, deal with stress, curse others and inflict harm. She tells you were to draw the blood fro, and how to use it. I will be experimenting with different sites of blood draw. This is the 2nd time I heard about drawing blood from different spots of your body. Out of the 30 events, 14 resonated with me.

Her “Consumption: The Sex of Blood Sorcery”, pg 78, has some of the best ideas regarding sex magic blood collection. I mean think about it, when you are involved in sex magick for a specific purpose you focus your intent on a specific goal that was agrees upon and when you climax that energy is released to do your will. Well how much more powerful would it be if before that moment of climax (or during the orgasm if you can get it), you were able to harness that blood. Just think of the power that is in that moment of time. And when mixed with the other magician that is one hell of an intent that can be used for a similar ritual, or to redo and strengthen the rite that was just done.

“The Danger of ‘Belief Clutter’ and Apologies”, pg 89, is really a good read. This section is aimed at hose who cam from a previous faith and can’t seem to drop the old thinking for the new, expanding upon ideologies that they are now trying to explore.

“Harvesting the Elixir” pg 105 and all the way up to page 121 is full of good information on how to collect the blood, and how to preserve it and all that jazz. This would be where you would really be jotting down ideas and making side bar comments in the book.

Page 138, “4. Use of Location-A Component Creator” gives you 4 “major” ways of how to connect to strengthen your practice. I mean going to a cemetery is a beautiful idea. A way to get in-tune with the other side of life, to experience the raw emotional power of pain and loss, grief and regret. To connect to the many spirits there watching. Just be wise about it.

Now this little section i enjoyed the most out of the others “Take 21 Days”, pp 143-144. This will help you get into the habit of doing a daily practice, in connecting to that energy all the time. Give you daily things that will help broaden your workings, and improve your resolve on this path. Just write down both pages and keep them with you. It is really solid advice.

These 8 sections spoke out to me out of the others, and i would recommend the book on those 8 sections alone. The rest is up to you to read and see what other gems you can pull out of it.
