I have been looking at this book for a few months. I have been leery of purchasing it because the last book I purchased on Sekhmet turned out to be straight garbage. But this one seemed like it was safe. It is pretty decent, not the greatest, and not the worst.

The first section is on Articles and Essays. This is just about people’s experience when coming into Sekhmet for the first time. Some of it was melodramatic, but it was still interesting to see how they found her, or she found them. I always like to see how people come upon their Deity.

The next section is Prayers and Invocations. This section was pretty interesting with a lot of prayers, hymns and devotionals to her. A lot of them are well written and you can tell they come from the heart. The ones I found useful that I can add and modify into my practice are:

Daily Prayer
A Prayer to Sekhmet
Prayer of Protection
Daughter of Sekhmet
Fierce Sekhmet
Invocations of Sekhmet ( I found these to be wonderful. There are five in all:Artist, Desctuctor, Healer, Warrior and Teacher)
Hymn to Sekhmet II
Prayer to Sekhmet
Awakening of Sekhmet
Awakening of Sekhmet with Egyptian Translation (I would use this on more than the other)

There are around 15 more I believe, but these resonated with me the most.

The third section is called Rituals and Meditations. I found nothing there of any use. Well the last one Sekhmet’s Ritual Objects, but even that is nothing new or useful to me. I do not like a 20 pag ritual, to me it seems they are more worried about the theatrics of the ritual than the ritual itself. Even in my coven we aren’t that melodramatic. Don’t get me wrong, we use props but we don’t spend 3 hours talking. They are geared for a group workings if anything. ALl her rituals that I have came across that have been writing by Pagans are always group workings that seem to like to hear themselves talk. So I read them, half of each, lost my taste for it and skipped them all together. Others may find it useful I don’t.

The last and final section is called Recipes. I found use in this section. I love recipes. I like to get knee deep in my workings. It makes it so personal. These recipes I liked

Sekhmet Blessing Oil (it contains blood for those who may not work with blood)
Sekhmet Oils
Sekhmet Incense (it has a LOT of ingredients, heads up)
Libation offering (very easy only three ingredients)

I can say this book was alright. Was it worth the money, yes. I will be going back to the second part Prayers and Invocations, more often than not for the wealth of information that is there. I see there are some that I may need in the future. A nice addition to our library, no doubt.

Ast Ma Ion – Eos Tar Nixet by Edgar Kerval

Last Saturday I was able to pick up my copy of the Ast Ma Ion – Eos Tar Nixet by Edgar Kerval. This book is a working Grimoire of Qlippothic Sorcery. So first thing is, I loved how the book came. It was complete with beautiful and captivating cards and a CD (which I haven’t listened to due to so much school work, but I will be able to listen to it this weekend).

The cards match up to each level of the Qlippoth that you are working through, so you can hold those cards in your hand while you walk through, or trance out while looking at them to obtain a connection with the Spirit that resides there. What I love about this grimoire is that is an actually practical working to the Qlippoth. There have been some that have seem so stuffy and mechanical that it is like, ugh, here we go again. Here the walking is done with a heavy dose of sex magick, (which I always include in all my workings). He gets straight to the point, which is what I love about all the authors who books I buy, and he gives you information about his workings and his time working with the Qlippoth. This is 4 years of intense working that he has perfected, tested, and shared with the masses.

The introduction by Asenathh Mason is enough to get you itching to dig into these pages to discover the wealth of information that is inside. It then goes into his workings, and a brief introduction about the Qlippoth and the Sorcerer. It then goes into the first Gate, Lilith.

At this point you will see the seal of Lilith which I find beautiful. I love the seals, and art work in this book along with the calligraphy, it just sets it off and it give it this overtone of gracefulness. Turn the page and there is a picture of her in a form you have never seen, but you can SEE it is her. What I did was as I read through the book I picked up the card, kissed it, placed it against my chest and read the chapter on the Spirit. That is my own way of greeting them and showing them respect. I then placed the card in their section and continue on (I did it for all of them). Within each chapter for all the Qlippoth Spirits (all 10 of them), you receive a couple pages of information about them and then the respective rituals if any. For Lilith you have this wonderful Rite of Ingress which is an inner call to her entrance. This I will be doing over the weekend, as I work with and am very close to Lilith, and anything that involves her, I am more than willing to test out. The seal to Lilith looks like an eye waiting for you to enter, tendrils surrounding the eye. The chant that is giving is very deep and it got me stirred up. It is recommended to do this rite four times, and I can see me incorporating this into my workings for her period.

Next is Gamaliel and his seal which is a variant of skulls and crossbones, but it has a vodoun hint and feel to me, which makes it even more interesting to me. Surprisingly, I was doing a little experiment for a friend of mine in which the symbol she gave me actually showed me this picture before it arrived to me, so that was interesting. His seal had me smirk, as it looked like he was smiling at me, with a wide smile and his eyes slit. It was and is very amusing. His rite is the Sexual Dreaming, Path Working Rite. This rite needs you to be abstinence for one month (sexual) and to get good rest for a good month. You will be doing dream work so I can understand. You will be contacting Gamliel and meditating with his sigil, so this could take a few to do and to receive as much information as you can. Dreamwork is a fav of mine.

The next seal is of Samauel and it looks like an eye in flames floating with peacock feathers fanning out. His picture is of a man looking stern, staring deep into your soul. It is very brooding and heavy. His Rite is of Initiation which is the death of the mundane personality so you can rise up be one with the Black Flame. Here you will learn to gain so much control over yourself, both inner and outer, which something we all must do in order to ride above the mundane and become one with the Spirit.

The seal of A’rab Zaraq is of a crow and he leads to liberation of the self. His Rite is of the Black Mirror. The use of this rite is to explore the astral planes and to reach out and connect with Qlippothic energies you are mingling with. Anytime you are working with mirrors you tend to need to be careful. I can pull quite a few things out of a mirror so I tend to stay away from them until I can control what I am doing. But this would be something that I would work up to. You will be working with two mirrors and you will be in the middle as a conduit of sorts, so please make sure you are sane, and have enough rest. Reaching into your subconscious and not being ready for it can be a shock to the system, and so is mixing with the Qlippothic energies. They are very strong and will knock you for a loop. But I love how the energies feel.

The seal next is Thagirion. This is the path to illumination. Here you will be inundated with the knowledge of the black sun, the astral realm and the light of Thagirion. Here you need to be careful, you can become lost and blinded by this illumination. I know one person you got lost, and he is no longer sane. You must be balanced and of sound mind to make it through this seal unharmed. It is so much being awakened in you, so much you are seeing and absorbing, that you can overload yourself. Take your time, as with the other paths, in absorbing what you are given and then marinate on it. His ritual will help enlighten your mind.

The next seal is that of Golachab, and this spirit blazes a way through chaos and it will blow your mind. His rite is of the Primal Awakening, using self eroticism and self stimulation via a mantra to get your juices flowing and to tap into this Qlippoth. Its awakening the Chaos in you and taking you on a wild ride.

The next seal is of Gha’agsheblah the path of liberation. The rite you will do will be the Death Trance Emanation Ritual, in which you will symbolically die and then be reborn as a child of the Abyss. Can’t get any better than that right.

The seal of Satariel is all about transmutation and the emergence of the Sorcerer from the hidden knowledge of the previous seal. The Right of the Spectral Light is all about taking in what you have learned and exploring that side of yourself, the darkness that has now been opened up. This is rec commended to do a few times to equalize yourself and to make sure that you are balanced before you continue on.

The next to last seal of Ghagiel is one in which you start to learn more about yourself that you still can’t seem to unlock and you will be doing a lot of work on the astral and physical planes to bring it all together. By this time you should be damn near all open, and have spent quite a few months t get to this process. This is a nice journey that is taking you from just the Sorcerer you are, to the Higher being that you KNOW you are ( and a better Sorcerer as well :)) This is a path that you may want to sit on a do a few times t make sure you are more than ready to go to the next level. No need to rush, you will move from level to level when you are ready.

The final seal is that of Thamuiel, which is the completion of your journey. Here you have seven masks of Thanuiel that will further help you manifest all you have learned into a powerful source of knowledge. With each of these seven masks you will know what you have to do. There is nothing saying this must be done, or this. The workings are set up for you to completely follow your normal progression but it gives you so much that can get done. These are paths that you can do for months or weeks, or even longer. There is no time limit, only suggestions and those are few. We each move at our own pace and I look forward to working with the first seal and seeing all that awaits me.

Totally worth the price, I devoured the book within a couple of hours and I have a nice vibration going on with the cards, which means that I will be connecting with them first before going further. Just something I always do.

Drawing Down Belial by S. Connolly

Posted in Book Reviews with tags , , , , , , on 06/04/2014 by Keona-Mlh

I have had a good weekend. Another book from my fav author came out. Drawing Down Belial by S. Connolly. I picked it up Friday and finished it Sunday. I have worked with Belial before and I was so excited about a book in which I could work with him a little further. So I couldn’t wait and purchased the Kindle version (I will be buying the physical copy as well).

This book is for Daemonic Divination, Ascension and Channeling. A Psychic/Mediums dream! How this book came to be is a very interesting read and makes you think about the interactions you have with people, and even in the beyond, things can always be better. Here you will have information on how to use the following divination methods: Prepared Spirit Boards, Pendulum Dowsing, Scrying, Reading Daemonic Sigils, Ascension (Astral) Work, and Dream Divination. This is enough to keep you busy for some months if not a couple of years getting into the nitty gritty. There are also quite a few more divination methods that are included and talked about as well.

You are (re)introduced to the four main types of Mediumship. I am blessed/cursed to have all four: Clairsentience (One that knows and can communicate it), Clairsentience (Knows what is happening in the future), Clairvoyant, and Clairaudience. From there you are told what devices will be better for each type, how your Zodiac sign relates to your abilities and tips and hints to help you make the most of your gift.

There is a section on prepping the Medium which is really important to know and perform. Just don’t read it and think you can skip it. I have come out of plenty of Ascensions and felt extremely dehydrated and easily dranked half a gallon of water. You have the basic Oleums, teas and recipes to help enhance your gift, including tinctures and ointments. There are some that I will like to use even though I can connect easily. You never know what else can aid you and I will be looking forward to using some of the recipes later this year.

There is a nice section on prepping your spirit board and even making one for the purpose you need it for. You have exercises, tips, and the most important section, How to Destroy the Board if you have something icky attaches itself to your board and tries to come through.  The Pendulum section I enjoy because I have a really good idea on a wood board I have that I can use for my workings. I am not big into Scrying, as I have seen things that scared the shit out of me, and the fact that I can pull things out of a session, and that isn’t cool. Me being a Scorpio, we are known as the most psychic, all Water signs really, but there are some good tips that will make me try again and just to help me relax and try a method that I would have just dismissed.  There are so many different scrying techniques that are shared and talked about that I won’t list them here. You have to find out for yourself J

The section on Reading Daemonic Sigils and Tarot Cards are another favorite. I have three Tarot decks (Necronomicon my fav, Thoth, and Angelic). I think I am pretty good with readings and I practice a lot. I also am gathering equipment to make Daemonic Sigil Chips (I have the Sigilum Daemonic which you should get). Channeling is talking about in depth and is a chapter you need to read and pay attention to. Channeling is not easy to do and you have to relax and believe in what you are doing and who yo are reaching. If not, your screwed. Ascension has to be my favorite way of communicating with the Daemonic because it’s like it is just us two or however many, because sometimes someone who needs to talk to me, more someone I need to talk to joins in and it’s like a relaxing conference meeting. Sometimes they are blunt, sometimes they are an ass lol, other times it is a serious conversation in which I need to heed what is being said to me and what I will be expecting in a few days or weeks or months.

The last section I’ll talk about is the Dream Communication section. I am not a good person to ask about dream translations. I couldn’t tell you what a buffalo appearing in a mustard suit means. You could be hungry or the buffalo can be like why are you eating me go Vegan. Again I don’t know. But you should try to decipher your dreams by using a dream dictionary, someone who is good in it, or try to figure it out yourself. Recently I have learned that when I have a dream about being chased by food, it means I am reaching a breaking point and I need to step back and relax. Pay attention so I won’t burn out.

Closing out the book are rituals for Ritual consecration, charging your divination devices, , connecting with the Daemonic Divine,  and the ritual to Draw Down Belial. You will also have info from the Daemons in this book as well, and if you have been in contact with them you will know that Leviathan is right. The one thing I have noticed when I have channeled Daemonic Divine is that our bodies are too confined so they won’t linger long. It has been plenty of times that Lilith or Hecate complained that I was short and didn’t have enough room for them, and how we humans lack space lol. So if they stay long it is most likely an important reason.

This is another book that has been added to my library and practices, and I do recommend anyone that is interested in Divination, Ascension, and Daemonic Contact to go and pick up this book. You will have a lot of recipes to try, exercises that will keep you busy, and rituals to play around with.

The Book of Smokeless Fire by S Ben Qayin

Posted in Book Reviews with tags , on 06/04/2014 by Keona-Mlh

So I was able to add another book to my Occult library and my spiritual practice. This book was The Book of Smokeless Fire by S Ben Qayin. I came across this author when I was reading the book Sabbatica, and he was one of the few authors that I connected with in his article. So I was on board to get this book when it was released. I have not been dissapoointed. I ordered the book Tuesday, it arrived Thursday, I picked it up Friday and finished it Saturday. Best time spent in my opinion.

Not only is the book worth its money but it has this beautiful geometric design on the cover that just resonates with me. It’s just gorgeous. There are two sections in this book: Book I: Origin of Darkness and Book II: Summoning the Infernal Djinn. With every section there are beautiful pictures of geometric sigils between sections. Eye candy basically.

In Book I you are given a history of the Djinn, an introduction to the system and you are treated to quotes from authors you may have or haven’t heard of. And if you are like mw, they will be added to your must have list as you read through the book. There is also an explanation of how the Goetia we know came to be and where the beginnings came from and how information was added throughout the centuries. Very interesting as it was like an aha moment for me at least. You are also welcomed to the Triangles of Arte and the Circles. The description is enough to make you want to draw them out and get to working. But please resist. For now. There is a good section on vibration and intonation, which is very important in any working that you do. Without the right vibration, your working may not manifest or you may have to do it again, and it has happened to me. So always pay attention and be aware and try not to rush things. The last section of Book I is the Lunate Script. This, this is just beautiful. By the time you have drawn out your script and the Triangles de Arte you should have full intention and your complete will/energy, would have been transferred into the working and your connection should be very strong. The imagery, is enough to make you trance out. Only me? Well alrighty then.

Book II starts out with a very powerful meditation called Aligning with True Chaos. This is a fucking powerful meditation. With you taking upon true Chaos in its purest form you will definitely fill the power welling up inside you and bursting forth. This is how you kick off a section. You then go into the conjuration and then you are introduced to the 72 Djinn and the commander of the Djinn themselves.

NOTE OF WARNING: These Djinn are here for one thing. To cause pain, suffering an strife within the human world. These are not the Djinn you can call and talk to, because they would probably kill you. The forces that you will call upon need to be set out to do their mission.  They are used to cause madness on your foe, to torment your enemy, and remove them from this world. You do not call upon these Djinn because your boyfriend cheated on, or your friend didn’t pay you back. This is when you need to rid someone because they cause you intentional harm, or your closets friends and family. You must be of a strong mind, and be confident in what is to happen. They will be utilized for their purpose and you will show them respect. These are not forces that you think you can talk to because you are so “dark”. Grow up. This is grown people shit, and if and when you use them, it better be worth it and you better want them to do what you have called them for. If not, kiss your ass goodbye.

This book was a very pleasant read and I do plan on utilizing the techniques in this book and most definitely the mediation to its fullest benefit. If you are into Necromantic Arts this book is the darkest I have come across yet. It is totally worth money, and it will forever change how you do your darker workings. I recommend this book for people looking for that Darker Magick, who will utilize it to their fullest potential.

New Hair Regiment

Posted in Important Posts with tags , on 05/27/2014 by Keona-Mlh

Oh my, it has been a long time. But I had to experiment with a few different hairstyle and products. Between me and my mother, we have hair products all over the place lol.  SO my bush is growing very ice and healthy, no breakage, no falling out so I am very happy about that.

What I do is after a shower, put in an oil (coconut oil for the summer), leave in conditioner, Marguerite’s Hair Cream and Carol’s Daughter Smoothing Curl Control. I think that is the right name,  I will check and update it later if I am wrong. But what I do know which has to be done (because a wash and go is not my friend at all!), is to keep my hair in two strand twit. It take a little over an hour almost an hour and a half for me to do it, because i have A LOT of hair, and my arms get tired lol. But it i so worth it. It will last about a week twisted up and then I will pick apart the twists to let the curls go free for another week. My hair is about four inches long and I am enjoying the length. I can put it in a ponytail and I have yet to flat iron it out to see how long it is straight. But I will. Soon lol.
