Family Tradition Witchcraft by Kit McGoey

This is a good book based on a witches families tradition. Granted it isn’t my cup of tea, but I enjoyed reading about others family practices.

It has the basic fluffery to it for those arrested to that side. It helps those interested get going in the practical matter while walking through them. She presents some of her families history which is quite interesting.

The information on the Sabbats I’d nothing new, but still added to every book in detail for some odd reason. The witches garden is competing of the basics in which everyone has in their kitchen, with it not. The color wheel is included with the standard colors and she adds the: different share of the colors, resonance, association,, numbers, and holidays. Include is the colors for the triple Goddess (white, red, black) and for the triple God [New to me (green, blue, purple) ]. The stone and crystal section covers the basics as does the correspondence, moon in zodiac section. Sex Magic probably could have been left out as it can’t be explained in a few pages.

It’s basically the perfect book for the novice to have In her library.

Two dinners, one family

So my husband does not eat healthy at all. He would eat out all day or sausages all day if he had the chance. He hasn’t cooked for himself in ten years. I say there is no excuse, he has plenty. So out of the almost eight years we have been married I am committed to switch him to at least organic meats and making his take out food at home. Last night I heated up some BBQ pork ribs he picked up from Aldi’s. They were heat and eat. So I just made some corn and added bread to it he was happy.

However for me a made six salads that night. I had spinach, bagged salad, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, red, orange and yellow bell peppers. I separated them into five containers equally and anything left over made the sixth salad which was my dinner.

I just got some tired of having to preheat the oven, clean the meat and then cook it. I rather have my food ready for me to eat when I’m hungry. I have no problem cooking once a week and spreading it over the week. It makes it easier for me to eat healthy so I can just grab and go and it be healthy.

I know I can not wait for my little ideas to kick in over the course of next year. It will be interesting to see what I do. I have no problem cooking two different dinners. We eat breakfast together and lunch and any snacks. Outside of that if I can’t cook it I prefer not to eat it. Granted I know he likes to eat out, then we can go to our new fav restaurant Mixed Plate. It serves Korean, Vietnamese, and other Asian food and has the best freaking Pho. He can have his Korean ribs while I enjoy the Pho and mango shrimp. It’s a good deal.

The more I remove meat and other chemicals from my body the better off I will be and the healthier. It’s not about getting down to a certain size, or goal weight. It’s just to feel healthier about myself and to be able to move around and enjoy life. At 225 I have come a long way and want to be wiser. Hell I can still sprint and jog so don’t get it twisted lol. I just want a heal their me.

The ending of the year

Winter Solstice/Yule

This year I’m only going to do a small ritual. Nothing large. I have something I would love to do and make but it will be for next year. A few of the craft projects I had post up from a website. There are a lot of good ones. I will be making a Satanic Ginger Bread house though. Next week, or the week of Yule.

I will let my Yule ritual be in planned though. I think it’s better right now for it to be unplanned. I’m sure I can put together a ritual but I will feel like it’s rushed.

So I will instead work on my Yule dinner and desserts. I will be making a honey glazed ham, stuffed clams, sweet potato casserole, corn, green beans, mashed taters, rice and gravy, baked beans with candied bacon, shrimp salad, sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie, biscuits, and of course some spirits lol.

Next year I will be so much better at my celebrations as I never was before. It’s only right. Give thanks to those who came before me, an for what I have now and will receive in the future.

Breakfast

So I remember my mother used to get me a full breakfast that carried me throughout the morning.

Grapes, a mini bagel, peanut butter, apple slices, and a boiled egg with orange juice.

After that I didn’t want anything else. Which is good because you can take a carton of eggs and boil them. Pre slice apples or not. Get some mini containers and put some peanut butter in them. But you can pre package it up for the week and take it with you. Grab the oj cartons and your good to go. Health breakfast on your way and you can still grab coffee if you like.

Trying it again

Ok so again trying a new way of eating. It’s just that I got so sick and tired of eating chicken and I only by red meat like twice a year lol. So yeah and seafood can only do so much for me.

So I think I will switch it up and just raw it out for a few weeks to clean my system out and then see about incorporating some more vegetarian cuisine in it. That stuff is expensive because we all know it costs so much money to grow a carrot over raising cattle lol.

But I am not going to knock people for eating meat. I am just so tired of it. So dreaming sick and tired of it. Mainly because I’m lazy and tired of always having to burn my food to eat it lol. I just want to reach in the fridge, rinse it off and eat it. That’s it. Is that so hard to ask? No it isn’t. But my pockets aren’t happy either lol. So we have to compromise and I buy as much raw foods as I can while making sure I have some protein in my diet. He’ll I know I can’t get everything form veggies, and I refuse to take 44 supplements to replace what I am not eating.

I have some new cookbooks and old ones in which I can make some vegan food. I keep enough meat in the house for my meat water husband. At least I buy organic meats for him. He’ll I rather him eat a bison burger than a pink slime hamburger. Just eww lol.

I need to buy a blender so I can juice as well. It more of a juicer lol. But for now it’s making my own fruit water, calorie burning water, and all the other drinks I see posted on Facebook and these cooking shows I am.

Granted I have a sweet tooth and I can devour some shit, that is one thing I will have to work on. I know I won’t give up sweets. It’s because I can’t. It’s just no point. If I want a piece of cake. I’m going to get a piece of cake damn it. I have never reached for a piece of cake and decided that this carrot and dip will suffice. Nope not happening but I will by pass cake for some yogurt though.

So we will see how this goes. I don’t like some veggies but I am sure I can do something to make them appetizing.
