How I was going to review. I just chuck that. So  I will just be me, it is what it is. Let’s begin.

20170602_221329

OK so this was interesting, but it took me like 4 to 5 years to read it again, or pick it back up I shall say. It is so heavy on Greek version of Christianity that I had to stop myself from laughing, and yelling at the book. Seriously I talked to myself way more than I normally do. I have never known Hecate to be so firmly implanted into Abrahamic roles, that I would say this is 60% sickening, 20% pondering and 20% spot on useful information. So to read it again, and continue on I had to just grin and bare it. I did pull out some very useful information, mainly on workings that I can use and make actually occult instead of having it based in “light good, dark bad” shit.

Let’s just say I picked the book up because it was purple, it had Hecate on the cover and I was like yes! So sue me lol. The book is divided into 14 chapters though they are not named, and you may not know when you have crossed over. The first 5 chapters have subdivisions within. So let’s see which ones I will highlight.

Hecate.

It starts off with a beautiful portrait of her (pg 10) that gives the normal background of this Goddess. So get your BOS out and get ready to take some notes, as it has some decent information in it.

The Spiritual Purpose (pg 28) is where I was scratching my head. Just the whole “Zeus (the Christian Father, Ruler of Heaven)” and how Zeus gave Hecate suffering to deal with and him and the other gods abandoned her and she had to deal with it all alone and she became sad and depressed, I am like the fuck is wrong with you? I just kept it moving.

In the Wheel of Hecate (pg 41) I pulled the 6 shadow’s of Hecate’s wheel. I didn’t keep the “6 (7)” sins attached like he did, because I don’t follow that shit.  In doing so I added the Seven veils (pg 43) to the 6 shadows and made something very intriguing for me to work on later this month.

The next section is Death, and if you know me then you know how excited I got. So what I pulled to work with is Hecate/Baphomet and Thanatos/Hecate ( and I am working with both the Gods now so it is only fitting); and a skull meditation. The Seven Caeliums I read and I took the titles and then created my own system and changed the titles lol., which is what I do 97% of the time when using another magician;s work (unless it is dire that I keep it original). I was disappointed in this section as he eluded to those who do black magick in the past will have karma coming back at them because black magick is bad.

I also find it laughable that Wicca was originally the Latin Vicanus/Vicani that means one who works with Hecate/Diana/Bacchus instead of Catholicism. Like that is the fucking definition he gave of Wicca. And how if you work with more than one God you are doing a disservice to yourself and will not be able to fully obtain that next level. BULLSHIT.  Again we have the dark is bad light is good shit he keeps spewing in this book, and how Lucifer is unnatural light, but when he is combined with Hecate he is fine. Also Baphomet has to deal with suffering, bear the “infinite suffering”. I have no clue where the fuck people get this shit from, but it will never cease to amaze me.

Hecate’s form.

Now these 15 descriptions were actually very beautiful and I wrote them all down, well the bones of it so I can do my own connecting to her in these forms and see what my experiences are.

Hecate Worship (pg 125) have a lot of invocation and chants and hymns, in which maybe a couple I found useful but not many.

I find the birth cart kind of funny, having the mark of Lucierfia as an aspect of Hecate after calling Lucifer himself unnatural light, only when he is with Hecate is he good enough and changed into the feminine.

The Hecate Overview (pg 208) was pretty decent. If you have never worked with her, or have done so minimally, then this will be a good place to load up your BOS. Some good info to pull out and jog your memory, more myths and “historical” information about her and her life.

I think this book is good for those who are scared of the dark, and believe in the more Christianize version of occult. Wiccans would love this book, fluffy bunnies and those types. But for us who have are big girl and boy drawers on, this book has a few pages to hit up for some new ritual constructs and that is about all. I would borrow this book, I wouldn’t buy it.

Unfortunately when I saw this book I saw part 2 and brought that, and I regret it now that I am reading it lol. But hey, every book has its place in sharing information and the second one ain’t that bad, well in comparison to the first one. Although I am still reading it.

I have around a few hundred books on my Kindle, around a hundred currently on my kitchen table, and yet I just placed an order for about another 20 to finish of collections. Between my Kindle, laptop, and my bookshelf I have around 4700 books. And counting.

So here are my favorite and prized books. I was sorting through everything and figured I should share some of these. You may find something that you want to add to your collection. I believed I wrote about a few of these books and they will linked below.

20160412_101401

The Grimoire of Tiamat by Asenath Mason is one of my favorite Grimoires. My favorite thing about this book are the Children of Tiamat. They are not to be played with. Rituals are intense. The sigils and pictures in this book are breathtakingly transportable. I love when I touch a symbol, painting, or sigil; I can be have a quick astral trip to wherever it wants to take me to show me things. An amazing book. Here is the link to the review Grimoire of Tiamat.

The Book of Azazel by E. A. Koetting is very interesting. I;m not a fan of his, but this book seemed like something I need to have. The book in the beginning has this Catholic vibe to it which I was like hell no. But the section with the Legion was worth getting the book, I think. I don’t agree with the occult’s person taste for sex, money and power. I’m not going for that bullshit, nor will I trap anything in a vessel. The Legion I can work with for realistic goods of higher attunement, not these basic cares. Still, even now, I’m glad I did purchase. Here is the original review The Book of Azazel.

The Keys of Ocat by S. Connolly is a really good working Grimoire. I have two books, the left one in regular binding and the one on the right bound in leather. The one on the left has the most notes and highlighting in it, while the right is preserved. Basically if Gate Opening is your thing then this book (if it is still available) you should have. I like the rituals, the preparations and how you have all the orations to add to your own gate workings. The review is here Keys of Ocat.

The Infernal Colopatiron by S. Connolly is another gate working and manifestation of the god self. I have pages marked, tons of loose papers from notes in it, and its highlighted to hell. A really good working for me.

20160412_101610

The Sabbattica compiled by Edgar Kerval is a book that has many authors contributing some of their occult knowledge. I was so excited wen this book came out. I mean I was stalking Nephilim Press website and waiting for the email saying it was now available. Three years later and I am still pissed about the last chapter. Here is the link Sabbattica.

20160412_101630

The Book of Abraxas by Michael Cecchetelli is one of my more interesting books. This book is full of rites, Christianize rights, Paganize actually considering the polytheism in Rome at the time. You have the rites for Angels, Yeshua, and honestly with some tweaking they can be used quite effectively. Looking through I have some lines crossed out, notes written with the changes I made. Just refreshing.

20160412_101647

The Book of Smokeless Fire by S. Ben Qayin is the shit. You will hurt yourself, and fuck some shit up with this book if you do not take precaution. The reason why it is in my prized collections is because of that fact. The meditations, the trances, just fucking amazing. Here is the link Book of Smokeless Fire.

20160412_101704

The Ast Ma Ion by Edgar Kerval is a visual masterpiece. With this Grimoire came colorful cards to match each chapter. These cards held so much for me to meditate with. Just the best addition to a grimoire. Here is the link Ast Ma Ion.

Noax by Edgar Kerval is still untouched. I read the first 12 pages and then life happened. It’s in my collection because 1)  I plan on finishing it before the summer, and 2) it is from Edgar. His works are amazing, and this book from what I have read so far, is going to be another best from him.

The books with no links will have reviews written up about them before the summer is in full swing hopefully. I have a long list of reviews to get through, finish writing and to start, so bear with me. But I do hope you enjoyed this little list and the other reviews. Most of the books came from Nephilim Press. Enjoy!

Wortcunning for Daemonolatry by S. Connolly

20160323_090622It has taken me forever to get this review up but it is finally up so here we go…

This book is for those who have a love of gardening and a flair for alchemy. If you don’t like either, then leave this book to those who do.

So we have moved past the introduction and into the first chapter which is Working with Plants. It gives you the basic guidelines in how not to harm the plants when picking them, dealing with poisonous plants and the normal warnings. Now for me personally, I am allergic to 23 varieties of grass, 20 types of trees and life itself (recently), so yeah I have to severely modify what I can do and live through my mother who I am giving this book to when she starts her garden in a couple weeks.

Next is the Herbalist’s Tool & Pantry, it gives you a rundown of items that you need to purchase and store separate from your regular kitchen tools. The preparation for harvesting the plants are written in great detail and laid out easily in front of you.

Making Oils/Oleums Philtres, and the Teas, Elixirs, and Tinctures chapters are basically your meat and potatoes, in understanding how to make what you need without burning yourself or screwing up or even killing yourself. It states throughout the book not to drink poisonous mixes, so if you do and die, well you were warned dumb ass. Now my favorite method in this section is the salves and sprays, as this will be how I will do a lot of my mixes. Having that quick Daemonic spray for workings will be very handy in the upcoming months.

In Preparing Herbal Mixtures for Incense chapter, you can get down and dirty by hand-making your incense. I am lazy so I will be buying mine. Though I will charge them like I normally do.

In the Other Preparations chapter, you have the uses for bath salts, soaps and candle uses. This will be a good one to keep in the self. Having bath salts is perfect for when you want to purify before a ritual.

Plant Reference section, is pretty explanatory. It gives a very generous list (14 pp.) of magickal plants and what they can be used for. The same for the Bases section and Miscellany Magickal Recipes and Random Daemons.

The next three chapters are my favorite: Cursing Recipes, Death Daemonic Recipes and Divination Recipes. Ahhh, the love I have for these three keeps me warm at night.

The next few chapters Magickal Inks, Dukante Hierarchy Recipes, Goetic Hierarchy Recipes, and Grimoirium Verum Recipes gives you more than enough hands on experience to keep you busy for a few months trying them out.

Rituals sections are always a win/win in my book with, any Occult read I pick up. There are nine healthy rituals, love the number, that will keep you busy and build your energy up when working with charging your mixtures.

The second to last section, The Magickal Gardener, I skimmed through. I kill plants you heard me, not on purpose, but because I am so absolutely horrible in Gardening that Satan and Eury told me to take a seat. No lie, I suck ass at gardening, but my mother has a green thumb and can grow anything. This has all types of tips and hints in growing your garden so it is good to take heed and take notes.

Last section is a list of resources to grow your magickal library so you can have a basement like mines; that literally has books on tables, shelves, chairs, the washer and dryer and every square inch of floor. Actually if I could float, I would be able to go into my basement. Seriously, a lot of books.

This book is a wealth of information, filled with recipes, rituals, formulas, and tried and true favorites that I love. So get online, order a few few friends and enjoy your summer trying out some of the philtres and tinctures. Try not to cut a finger, blow up your alchemy set up, or poison you neighbor (well unless, you know). Enjoy the read and have fun. I know I am.

Sabbatica The Seas of Death and The Arcana of Death Bringer as compiled by Edgar Kerval

Posted in Book Reviews with tags , , on 01/16/2014 by Keona-Mlh

I know long ass title right. But don’t dismiss it just because of that. It’s 90% a very good read. I’ll tell you why in a little bit. We all know I will blast a book if it sucks ass. This book however I have mixed feelings on though they are primarily positive feelings.

It had thirteen articles, fitting, that I find quite intriguing. The art work was fitting and quite beautiful if you ask me.

The first 12 chapters I learned a lot from. I read up on different methods of calling and working with dead. Libations to offer and where to place them depending on where your ritual is. There is an essay on having a spiritual portal in your backyard that is really helpful as long as no one goes back there on the regular. It also tells of other places that you can place it. I leaned about the Necromantic Circle and the Necromantic Triangle of Evocation that makes me raise my eyebrow, and say really now? Looks promising. There are plenty of references from books that I have or will be getting that the authors mentioned in their works.

I enjoyed the Death and Resurrection Show, The Arte of Necromancy and the Calling of the Fallen, the Necromantic Ritual of Re-Awakening, Last Touch of the Great Prisoner (which has this awesome 9x9x9 journey that I am definitely including in my journey) and the Crown of Black Thorns which are heavily hi lighted and have notes next to them.

I also read more on Pula, Palo Mayombe and the Shuar People of the Amazon. Needless to say I will not be delving into those arts, as they are way above my head. And frankly I like being sane. They were an eye opening read regardless and have my mind just more reason to wander off and research.

There are more articles that the authors relay their personal experiences with death, and it comes off as being very deep and his you look at things in a different light. That I appreciates as they want to share their experiences with you, as well as help others on their own journeys.

No to the 10% that just pissed me off three ways to February 42nd. The last chapter is about automatic writing and I so a lot of it, so I was really looking forward to what wisdom this author had to share with the readers. This bullshit was, and still pisses me off the first paragraph is one sentence. It contains 173 fucking words, that will complete make you lose site of what the hell he was trying to say in the first place. Basically he was trying to convey how the spirit of a person can move around and connect with the divine around him in different faucets. Or at least that is what I hope he was saying. Because honestly I don’t when what the hell he was saying and it pissed me off. If you can not convey what you are saying, on a way that everyone can understand it, your automatically a dick and need to stop writing. I am glad you have a thesaurus that you use frequently, but to confuse readers so you seem more…”real”, will only have people like what? If I have to decipher your words, but a few more books to understand your “infallible wisdom” well you lost it on me. I will just move you to the list of authors I will never ever read unless I renounce my Satanic path and become a dick rider for Jesus. And that ain’t happening.

All in all the last 37 pages I disregarded. So I feel cheated out of this book. If it was printed again, his section should be removed and replaced with someone else that are on the levels of the other 11 authors.

Is it a good book to have? Yes it is? Can I say go out and get it? Not really. I feel cheated because an author decided to use every word known to man to describe something very simple. That automatically turned me off. For others who like to talk cryptic they may love it and be a follower of his work. I don’t like it and all I can say is look at the book and go off of your gut feelings. If you have no intention to ever do Necromancy work, by past this. This book is for those who are actually working in the current and want to add more to there workings. This isn’t a book to just read and that’s it.

But I did enjoy it.

One Last Kiss

I love the feel of Nylon rope.  Its thick, heavy, and it also ties beautifully. I love the wide eyes look you have when you feel the rope tighten. To watch the breath slip out of your throat, to here you gasp in desperation. Your teeth are clenching as you try to tighten your throat against my pull. But wait, I have a surprise for you. I move behind you and place a kiss on your ear, right before I bring the bag over your face and pull tight.

Making sure you are oh so uncomfortable, and in a panic, I watch your eyes as they connect with mine in the mirror. I wore that favorite dress you brought me with those high heels you like. You know, the same ones you brought her. Wasn’t expecting to see her in the bed, tied and dripping her crimson wetness on our floor. She wasn’t much fun, than again when you slit someones throat open and gut them like a fish, they don’t fight back to much. Too bad. I really enjoyed her muffled screams as I cut her throat, just enough so we can have a few minutes together. That precious time between wife and mistress. But she couldn’t take the penetration, as I cut her open from chest to that belly, of me reaching inside her body and slowly pulling her intestines out. But I took great pleasure in cracking open her rib cage and squeezing her heart till she died. Her kisses were sweet in that last moment.

I see a tear come down your face as you are slowly losing the battle to live. You should have thought better than to cheat on me. I a your wife, not a common whore. We built 20 years of love, three children and careers that are friends envy. You were greedy. You never asked me if i wanted to try something new. She would have been ours to share my love.

Suffocate. Die. Cry. Panic.

You deserve the slowest possible death that I can give you. Why? Because as my husband you only deserve the best. let me kiss you one last time. Let me feel the heat of the bag upon my warm lips.

Let me kiss you goodnight.
